[The title says it all... 8D]

(Scheming up plot, will get back to this in a bit. But yes, I hear ya. |3)

(Okay okay, I has it. *Pumps fist*)

Chenzira's ship was falling, breaking apart. And strangely enough, the entire crew was missing. Everyone but Meslade and Ciannait.

And then there was a girl.

That's... That's all Ciannait could remember. It all faded to black.


She woke up, feeling rather dizzy. Glancing around, she took note of the surroundings, none of which was familiar to her. It was a large room, ornately decorated with marble floor and white walls. She herself was sleeping in a large bed... And if she had said so herself, it was one of the softest beds she had been in ever. It wasn't just a random home she ended up in...

More than that, someone had cleaned her off. She wasn't bloody or grimy anymore, and her wounds were bandaged up. More than that, she was in some sort of nightgown. It was actually rather irritating. Someone had the gall to bathe her and change her without her permission, and while she apparently wasn't all there mentally, considering the big fat blank she was drawing. Agitated, she turned in the bed, surprised when she found on the other side of the bed Meslade.

[*frolics in a field of flowers 8D*]

He was breathing - wheezing - softly, his shallow breaths blowing at a strand of stray hair that lied across his face. Also clean and bandaged up, Meslade had been put in a set of white clothings which his pale skin almost blended in. He had been laid on the side so that his wings wouldn't be hurt. A white bandage covered his eyes, instead of the black blindfold he usually wears.

Even though he was more than exhausted, the long sleep helped him recover. His wings started to flutter weakly as he came awake.

Ciannait hesitated, then moved over to where Meslade was stirring. In the moment of it all, she brushed Meslade's hair out of his face gently.

Meslade flinched a little at her touch, but he immediately realized that the feeling was familiar. "C-Ciannait?" He whispered, carefully taking her hand in his. "Is that you?"

"Of course it is, who else would it be?" She offered with a huff, but then kissed him on the forehead.

"I'm sorry..." Meslade let out a small, slightly pathetic whimper. "Are you all right? W-Where are we? I remember the ship falling apart and... and everyone else..." He groaned a little, as if dwelling into those unclear memories was too much for his mind.

"I'm fine." Ciannait replied with a sigh, tail twitching. "As far as where we are, no shitting clue. Havens, it's like someone dragged us here in our sleep or something."

Meslade sat up, oversized ears twitching in effort to hear the sounds around him. "This seems to be a large manor." He commented. "Our host isn't someone ordinary. Should we... should we go out and try to see what's happening?"

Ciannait hesitated. "Yeah, although I'm not too keen on wandering around in this... Nightgown. Havens, a nightgown. Really." She bit, irritated in their unknown host's choice in clothing.

Meslade blushed fiercely at the word, even though the fact that he was blind automatically made him impossible for the "sin". "D-Do you want to stay here while I come out and look?" He offered, rubbing along his arm nervously.

"Nah, I'll come with you. And what's with that look? You're blind." Ciannait chastised, although she was sort of amused by Meslade's reaction.

"N-Nothing." Meslade protested weakly, climbing off the bed. He tripped on the sheet and fell, face facing the marble floor. "O-Ow..." He quickly pushed himself back up, and made his way to the door. He grabbed the knob and turned it.

Ciannait followed, taking Meslade's hand and peeking out into the hallway. "Damn, how much money does this guy have? With all of this we have enough money to have a feast for all the Animalians running around for a year!" She commented, staring at the fancy chandeliers and decorations.

...

Elsewhere, Veer stirred, in a similar state as the two before. No memory of past events to a point, and all cleaned up and bandaged. He got up, realizing he was lying strange on his wings, and stretched them out. He blinked over at Amania, who was lying nearby.

"...Amania." He said softly.

Meslade agreed, "Indeed... If this whole mansion is decorated in the same way as this place... our host must be quite wealthy." Leave one wondering how he actually got that rich. Basically there are just two sorts of rich guys.

The witch jerked awake, eyes snapping opened. "Veer?" She groaned, reaching towards him. "What- What happened? Where are we?"

To add to their anxiety, somewhere near Veer's heart, a life that wasn't his also awakened, fluttering around like a scared bird. What was left of Orka's spirit.

Ciannait snorted. Whoever was this mysterious host, her opinion of him wasn't getting any better. "Mes, can you tell if there's anyone else around?"

...

Veer took Amania's hand. He himself was trying to stay calm, but that was hard to do with Orka's fear also affecting him. "...I'm really not sure. Ugh, Orka, please calm down. I can't think clearly when you're afraid like that..."

"I can... but they will probably recognize. They will feel the waves, eventually," admitted Meslade. "Do you still want me to try?"

Using Veer's hand for support, Amania pulled herself to a sitting position. "... I have a blank in my mind... What happened?" She questioned, more to herself than to Veer. Hearing him trying to soothe the water spirit, she asked, "Veer, if he is that worried, maybe he knows something. Can you try asking him?"

Ciannait thought for a moment. "I don't think it'll matter if they feel it or not. Try it anyways."

...

Veer hesitated, then nodded. "I can try."

Orka, do you know what happened? He queried mentally, hoping that that would give him clearer results than trying to make the weakened spirit speak.

Meslade nodded and sent a super sonic wave in the air. He listened carefully before making a conclusion. "There are many people here. Staying by groups of two or three in different rooms, probably similar to ours. And... There are people walking around, perhaps staffs. There are about ten of them."

Orka, soothed by Veer's communication, agreed to still. Do you not remember the girl that came talking to us, Veer? She said her master was gathering an army to defeat the deities... She brought us to the Aquarius Kingdom and gave you food to eat... And then you fell asleep and she brought us here.

Ciannait nodded. "Thanks. Who's the closest one to us, then?"

...

Veer hesitated. No, I don't remember any of that. Did she drug the food?

Meslade listened again, more carefully this time. "Down the stairs, first room to the left." He said, looking sure in himself. "There are two people there." He stopped for a moment, frowning. "There is a staff... I think a maid, walking up the stairs towards us though."

Orka appeared worried again. I don't know what she did. I didn't see it. But apparently it was a drug... It could as well be a spell.

Ciannait nodded. "Lets avoid her and try to find those two, then." She said.

...

Veer sighed. Don't worry. I'm sure it doesn't matter.

"...He says that there was a girl that came to us apparently recruiting for an army against the deities. We're in the Aquarius kingdom now... And she either drugged us or put a spell on us for us to forget."

Meslade nodded and retreated back into the room where they came from, dragging Ciannait with him. They waited for a moment, until the steady sound of the maid's footsteps went far away. Steathily they slipped out of the room and hurried down the stairs, looking for the probable allies.

Amania bit down on her lower lip. "If it's just an army against the deities, why must he proceed things this way? This is suspicious..."

She looked up sharply. "Someone's coming. I hear them."
