Current RP: Ely's mansion

So, decided to continue where we left off here for Hihiki's sake... And to see if I can pull storyline back into play one way or another.

Starting with a slight record of past events (To be read from bottom to top)


"But..." Jian glanced up at her. "...I always did what Abbey said. And... She always came back. Maybe she'll come back again..."

"Well then? You can't, can you?" Rossato smiled softly, rubbing Jian's cheek. "That is because you're not happy about letting her go. I guess she told you to forget about her and just take care of yourself? But sometimes, you have to be brave and not do as she says, you know."

Nithak said the following:

"...Well..." Jian seemed hesitant. He wasn't sure if Abbey'd be fine. He was really worried about her, but did what she told him and stayed here and didn't pursue her, despite how worried he was. Why would anyone smile if they really weren't happy?

Rossato finally decided that she shouldn't ask further. "Oh, she is one particular woman, isn't she? I'm sure she will be all right. Right?" She looked deep into Jian's sole eye, "Come on, son, give me a smile!"

"Um." Jian was hesitant to tell Rossato about the deities.

"I'm surprised. She was scared to stay, yet she didn't feel a fear to leave. There must be a story to this, isn't there?"

Nithak said the following:

"She's human." Jian replied with a nod, then shook his head. "She said that leaving was better than staying... With everything that has been happening. She said she was scared to stay..."

"She's leaving the District?" Rossato repeated, "But that is... that is not very wise! Okay, I don't know you, but if she chosed to reside in the District at the first place, she must be a human, or a not very strong demon. How would she survive in the outside world?"

Nithak said the following:

"That's not it either!" Jian claimed. "She's going across the Mountain border! She's leaving the District!"

He stopped. He said it. Abbey said not to tell anyone, but he just did. Sheepishly, he looked down at the ground again.

"... She probably wants the best for you..." Rossato said softly, her voice melodious. Ely just sipped on his tea and watched.

Jian blinked at her. "...Well, no... Not me, not really. But I guess it involves me..."

Ely sent a glare towards Rossato's direction, blaming fer for being so careless. The Siren sent back an annoyed look, which seemed to be saying "How the hell am I supposed to know?". She scooted closer to Jian, putting a hand on his shoulder, "I'm sorry, was there something wrong between you two?"

Jian shook his head. "Oh no, don't. She doesn't want to be bothered anymore..." He glanced down at the ground.

Rossato leaned forward, "Abbey?" She smiled wickedly, batting her eyelashes. "Is it your sweetheart?"

"Mother! He has the mind functions of a 5-years-old." Ely shook his head in slight annoyance.

"But still!" Rossato pouted, turning back to Jian, "So? What about her? Do you want us to pick her up as well?"

Jian seemed nervous. "...Um... A friend of mine named Abbey." He offered, still not willing to say what exactly happened to have Abbey leave him.

Rossato sat there smiling encouragingly, as if waiting for Jian to say more. Ely glanced at his mother and the gargoyle. Jian didn't want to tell him, why would he want to tell Rossato? Anyway, that's just too bad for him. If he told them, they might be able to help.

Jian nodded. "...Yeah." He replied.

"What's the matter?" Rossato asked kindly. "Are you worrying about someone you know?"

Jian seemed a bit hesitant. He wasn't worried about being safe. And he was worried about Abbey. "..."

Ely explained what had happened to his mother. She listened silently, the smile on her face became but a mask. "I see." She nodded when Ely finished. "You have no where else to go? Don't worry. You will be safe here."

She patted on Jian's head, ruffling his hair.

(Ok <3 thank Nithak <3 I guess I will start from here, assuming that Leo follow Jian and Ely, too)

Leo looked up to Jian from the door where he was pretend sleeping. He had followed the boys here, thinking that the boys might need his help, they are just little boys anyway, they need some care of an adult on the way, he assumed. Moreover, the witch had left the stone boy for some reason and he somehow found the image of his old self in the boy. He liked Jian in someway he thought, the boy need someone to guide him and be with him but Leo thought Jian didn't really want him to be that one, Ely should be the right person. But he kept all of his thought inside, never suggested it.

"You can never protect that woman if you keep thinking like that, stone boy." He said. "You might not know what are in the other side of the forest border but I think you have the idea about it. You are not even sure if she would be safe herself or not."

Rossato sent a smile towards Leo's direction. All of them were waiting for Jian's decision. If he wanted to be helped, they would help.

Jian hesitated. "...Ely, you won't be angry at me if I went to look for Abbey, would you?"

"That's what we all have been trying to tell you, silly." Ely reprimanded softly from behind his cup of tea.

"That's decided then" Leo stood up and turned into his human form. "Let's make a plan for the journey."

Jian blinked hesitantly, then nodded. "...Okay. Where can you leave Apocalisse from... Anyways?" He questioned suddenly, tilting his head.

"It's 'Apocalypse', dummy." Ely corrected. "Well... I read somewhere that there is a ferryman who takes care of that... I can find that book, and the map, if you want."

"Get them, incubus boy." Leo suggested "Better make sure where we are going before the trip than wait 'till we lost our way."

"Anyway, stone boy, would you be able to state out the direction that Abbey went off to?" He turned to Jian and continued his talk. "It's not like there's only one way to get out of the district right?"

Jian seemed confused, and continued to try and say 'Apocalypse' without much success.

"Apo... Apoxyclips. Uh." He glanced at Ely. "Can I help?"

"It's 'Apocalypse'." The Incubus repeated. "Well, all of you can help, actually. It's a big library we've got."

Rossato beamed in excitement, "Momma's gonna help too!"

"Um... Abbey went... That way, um." Jian pointed in a certain direction. "That's towards the mountains, right?" He followed Ely closely, glancing back at Rossato.

It was amazing how Ely could answer with so little information Jian provided, but he replied anyway. "Mmm, I suppose. That's where the ferryman usually stop to pick up passengers." They had reached the library, and Ely pushed the heavy wooden doors opened. "As I remember, the ferryman does requires payment..."

"There's nothing you have to worry about the payment, darling!" Rossato offered cheerfully.

"P-Payment?" Jian suddenly was worried. Not for himself or Ely, but for Abbey. "Abbey doesn't have anything she can pay with!" He exclaimed.

"It's not normal kind of payment, stone boy." Leo offered. "It is..." He stopped and turned away, there's something with the payment that he didn't want to mention about. "Never mind... this lady here surely knows what she is saying". He changed subject and looked at Rossato.

Rossato put a finger on her cheek, smiling. "I said it was okay! I have all kind of friends, you know, and from what I heard, she only requires material payment for the moment."

"But... Abbey doesn't have anything material." Jian's ears flattened. He was getting more and more worried.

Leo turned to Jian and looked at him thoughtfully "Then she might have paid something else. I don't think that you would want to know what it might be." Said Leo. "Do you know what would the ferryman take at the moment, my lady?" He asked Rossato.

"Um..." Rossato hesitated. "Before, she took service from the people... They had to serve her for a few years, before being transferred to the Demon Realm... But now, she's asking for money. I don't know what case had Abbey fallen into..."

Jian stopped. "Abbey's going to have to serve for a few years, then?" He stared at Rossato worriedly.

"Well, generally, in most of the cases..." Rossato looked thoughtful, "That, of course, only if she doesn't have anything else to offer..."
